Meet the Founder
Jamie Milton
Founder
Jamie founded JCMI Digital after nearly two decades in enterprise IT and observability engineering. Until earlier this year, he was a Senior Solutions Architect at Fort Digital, building large-scale monitoring platforms for enterprise clients on the Grafana LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir) and OpenTelemetry — work that helped earn him recognition as a Grafana Champion and InfluxAce. Earlier in his career he spent five years as Senior IT Technical Operations Lead at NFU Mutual, where he built a centralised monitoring platform from scratch spanning 600+ servers and dashboards used daily by 30+ stakeholders, including the CTO.
Alongside JCMI Digital, Jamie is co-founder of Natures Data, an agri-tech startup using IoT sensors to help farmers optimise crop yields across farms in Europe, North America and South America — hands-on proof that the same observability principles behind enterprise platforms apply just as well to a greenhouse as a data centre. He also regularly writes about observability strategy, tool consolidation and reliability engineering on LinkedIn.
Outside of client work, Jamie's a keen home automation enthusiast, always tinkering with sensors and IoT projects around the house. He's also a father to children with additional needs, and enjoys putting his technology background to practical use finding tools that support them day to day.
